Hasn’t been any post in this section in awhile so I figured I’d start a new one.

1st: What is/was your primary job?
2nd: What rank were/are you?
3rd: Did you serve or are currently in combat? Where?

I guess we could post full disclosures in this but then that would leave out room for other threads. So let’s stick to these for now. Later we can get into other areas.

There are few greater honors than to serve one’s country. We should ALL be proud of our service. I am proud of mine. I am proud of yours.

Thank you to all who have come before, those that are currently serving, and those that will come later.

To our Brothers to the North and those of other countries as long as you are not against the United States, please also post. You may not believe in all of our politics, ideals, and the way we do things but you cannot deny that the United States of America has come to the aid of the world when it is needed and will continue to do so. We came to the world’s aid in WWI and WWII and rid the world of a great evil. We are doing it again. What others choose to ignore and hope will go away, The USA is taking action. We must realize that this will not go away. If ACTION is not taken and complacency is the course chosen, we are all doomed.

Let us not forget. Let us not take for granted.

1st: I was a 29E. Radio Repairman.
2nd: I achieved SPC4 while active duty in the USArmy. Made Sgt in the Texas Army National Guard.
3rd: I did not serve in combat. I did serve in Egypt during the 1st Gulf War and sometimes it got quite tense. But I never actually had to fire or ever got fired upon. I know, it’s not the same. I feel very fortunate to not have been in combat but would not have shirked my duty had I been called to it.
