I wonder how many times you have to drop a motorcycle to get that good.

Dang skippy that's good advice..

I remember when my older brother and aunt taught me how to ride a bicycle. They would take me to the top of a hill, set me on the bike and push me down. Well all fine and good except for the gravel road at the bottom of the hill. I'd hit that stuff and wipe out every time. When I got to the point where I wouldn't wipe out I was ready for riding on the road with them. Turning was still a b#$ch but I learned. At the time I didn't think about it but now I'm convinced my brother and my aunt were trying to kill me.. :D

I may be heading out to Plano to hook up with KenR Wed night for more motor training. Your scoot gonna be outa the shop? I'm gonna holler at Dan as well and see if he wants to join me for the ride out. I'm going to try to make as many of those sessions as I can but it's a friggin haul at that time of day from my house to there. 50 miles and an hour and 40 min of traffic...........

I may not make it this Wednesday. . .Tawanda needs a new brake light and she's going in either today or tomorrow, depending on when Troy gets the part. Maybe the next Wednesday though. Ken set up his cones Saturday morning in Hot Springs. We all had a blast riding his courses. Then he finished up with a demo ride. . .dang! That man can throw that bike around! I'd love to do more of that kind of riding, so I'll definitely be taking you up on your invite in the near future.

Ken is good. But there are a few other guys out there that are friggin awesome. Hawk, Ed, and........... crap, can't remember his name, Aaron I think but I'm probably wrong. Hawk and Ed rode tandum through the 18' dual cone weave ( 2 rows of cones 18' spaced and 18' apart) awesome sight. And Hawk can hold his bike balanced for almost a 3 or 4 count during the slow race. I've never seen anything like it. And Jorge and Dawn and a couple of others that were at HS frequent there as well.

I readjusted my clutch yesterday so hopefully I can do a bit better next time I make it out. I've been practicing a bit (U-turns in the street) but I really like the cones.

I believe that's good advice Mr. Bear. . .I'll take it. Good morning, how was your ride home?

We rode out around 6:30 a.m. and didn't encounter rain until we got around Mt. Magazine. It was shrouded in clouds and felt the fog would be to thick to ride the scenic way, so we avoided it and ran into rain 10 minutes later. We donned the rain suits and headed into it for around 80 miles maybe a few more until the sun came out. By the looks of the radar after we got through it, we would not have been able to get around it any other way, so getting wet was all we could do.

After that the ride was gorgeous the rest of the way home. We made it in around 8:00 p.m. that evening for a cold beer and a long tongue greeting from my black lab. At least he was happy to see us get home.:woohoo:

Kay and I really enjoyed the weekend with everyone, glad we could finally get to meet and have some Crown together. Oh, by the way, the cookies came in handy on the trip home. We seemed to be stopping quite often to let Kay's butt rest and munch on a cookie, they really hit the spot.:D:highfice:

Glad to hear your mending and no serious damage was done. Hope you get to feeling better and we'll get together and ride again.

We ran into a small amount of rain on the way home. Waited out most of it in Mt. Pleasant. Just as we were pulling out of Mt. Pleasant we ran into Dinero. Perfect timing. We left Sparkles with him and Dan, phreak and myself continued on. Phreak left us in Greenville and Dan and I had a dry run all the rest of the way home. I was especially appreciative of the dry run through the canyon in Dallas. I guess we pulled into my apartment around 5:30 or so. I very much enjoyed meeting you and yours. I'm glad you and Ms. Kay enjoyed the cookies. I'll have to make sugar cookies in your honor next time. So Kansas is straight and flat? Hmmmm. . . .:Angel_anim:

Your welcome my friend, sure wish I could be there when you pick up Patty's bike. Are you going to ride to HS to get it or are you "ahem" trailering it?

Kenny:polar:

Not sure at this point. Patty wants to ride it back, so we may 2-up to get it.

I'm thinking the weekend after the Fourth. She's worried about holiday traffic.

If I go by myself I'll have to <trailer > it.
