Sunday will bring about the end of another calender year. Whose idea was it to end the year on December 31st anyway, and why would anyone want to start a new year on January 1st is beyond me. Why couldn't new years be on July 1st or August 1st, at least it would be a warmer part of the year.
Anyway, I hope everyone has a safe and eventful New Year in 2007. I know I'm plannin on it. There will be millions of miles to be ridden next year and I want to get my share of them. I rode almost 18,000 of them in 2006 and I will be planning to ride more than that this next year.
Most of those miles will be ridden with friends that I have met over the years from rallies, toy runs, charity runs, eyeballs, internet sites, patriot guard runs, and solo rides to some strange place. I hope that some of those miles are with some of you folks here when we get together in the spring. If some of you want to get together before or after, suggest a place to meet and I'll try and wrangle some time to be there. BBQ, beer, and friendship go hand in hand when your on the road.
Like the old sayin, too many highways, not enough time applies. I will try my damndest to get more time for riding this next year.
