......and I almost got hit twice. First time I was in the left lane, and a gal to my right decided she needed to do a U-turn. Right now. Cut me off and jumped into a left hand turn lane for a business. Missed me by maybe 8 feet. I barely had time to grab the brakes and miss her. I don't think she had a clue that she even cut me off.

Not 10 minutes later, I'm doing 30 mph in my neighborhood, a PT Cruiser turns left out of a side street right in front of me. Sees me at the last second, and stops in the middle of the lane. I lock up the brakes again, and get stopped about a foot from the drivers door. There was a concrete median in the middle, so I couldn't swerve left or right. Hell, if the driver would have floored the PT, I could have at least gone behind the car.

I gave up, came home and parked the bike...:rasinghell:

Las Vegas, escecially the Strip at night, is a hard place to ride. Lots of cars, lots of drunks, and lots of them are little old people that can't see that well anyway. We have decided to stay away from Caddys, Buicks, and Lincolns, usually white, when all you can see is the top if a gray head.

It's scary the way people fail to see us. I have my scoot lit up like a Christmas tree and they still cut me off all the time. It's just a matter of being alert and ready for them or give up the riding ---- NOT!

Been having trouble with drivers cruising along for miles with a left signal blinking lately. It seems like I can follow one for several miles waiting for them to change lanes. They never do, that is until I figure they'll never turn. As I'm going around them, they pick the moment I'm even with their door to dive left. The rumble strips on the Florida Turnpike are LOUD at 85 on a Harley!
