Unfortunately I think I also killed EVERY other kind of bug within about 10 feet of our house. :rauch25:

I came home from a 9 day ride and found ants in the kitchen. A little Raid went a long ways. They haven't come back yet and that was Sunday.

These were MUTANT ants! I'd think that I'd got them and then Jason would leave something out on the counter and I'd walk into the kitchen to find it covered with the little @#$%^&*&^%$# ers.

Raid didn't work, boric acid didn't work, even the exterminator couldn't get rid of them...

it was finally a mix of the boric acid powder put down then sprayed with some other nasty stuff that had lots of scull and cross bone warnings on it.

I've probably killed everything for the next 20 years or so...the grass is even dead. But so are the ants!

Of coarse Jason just sat back and laughed at me...I became obsessed, it was WAR!

Have I mentioned that I HATE bugs! And that TN has all every kind here (including some no one has ever heard of) in either copious amounts or super sized!

The exterminator charged us $150.00 to spray for ants back in April and it just slowed them down for a few days. Meleia finally found some stuff that worked and they are finally gone......

I'm with Traveller on this.....not a bad thing. I've had to declair Jihad on the ants in my yard. Luckly I've kept them out of the house. I've got something I spary in the house for bugs...mostly little spiders and roaches. When I start seeing them I send the family out and go to work!!!

Talking about exterminators.............In the first house we lived in, Lisa decided we needed to have an exterminator come and spray the house even though we didn't have any bug problems. After he sprayed we started having ant's in the house.......I think he sprayed something to attract them so we'd have to keep calling him back!!!!

I'm not a big fan of bugs but its spiders that really freak me out. Especially the big ugly Super Sized ones.
I have declared WAR on the damn moles in my yard. I hate them. I try killing grubs and other bugs, which is what they eat, but I can't get rid of these yard destroying fu(kers.
Any suggestions?

There is only one way to get rid of ants

Mano a mano! Them, me, and a mallot. Takes a while, but they know I mean business. :sterb041:

Jackson County, MS, I am convinced, is built atop a gigantic ant colony. They are everywhere, but the worst are these tiny little sugar ants (more popularly known as little pissants) that seem to thrive on all known exterminator remedies. Perhaps we should see about getting an anteater as a housepet.

Those are the ones! Little F*ckers! Here's what I used, a combo of Spectracide-Bug Stop, (it's cheapest at Walmart and comes in liquid in a big black container, even has it's own spray gun for about $15.00) and I sprayed it over a liberal dusting of caustic soda oveer the sides of the house and everything for about 10 feet around it...decks sidewalks, grass...everything.

As I said it pretty much killed everything that creeps or crawls! I've even found a few dead mice, so it might not be pet friendly, our cats don't get to go outside so I wasn't worried about them.

Miserable as those things are, you can go inside and escape them. The ants follow you in.
