Are we still invisible?
Do you think somebody with a matching tank & helmet are less likely to get in a wreck then a rat or stock bike rider. Some folks look to be on parade or on some type of public display. No matter how hard we try to be seen, orange vest, extra lights, chrome accents, whatever. Even when you think you have made eye contact proceed with caution. Invisibility comes and goes, don’t plan on being seen.

Oh yeah loud pipes are no match for a SUV with a mp3 already shaking it’s windows.

Your following distance is about all you’ll ever control in traffic.:Waving:

Just to get an idea of how correct yo are on that issue, I was driving an ambulance, diesel engine, sirens wailing on Hwy 90 in Biloxi several years ago. We got behind a car with his boom box going and it literally drowned us out in our own vehicle. He never did move over, and I seriously doubt he heard nor saw us. One of those instances where I wished I had one of those snow bumpers on the bus to push that A' hole into the Gulf.

absolutely, without a doubt, we are invisible. . .i ride every day as though i were and it's the only thing that's keeping me alive out on these streets. . .when i first started riding i worried about my skill level (starting, stopping, changing gears, staying upright) 10,000 miles later my skills have improved, but it's *them* i worry about now. . .dang! there's days when i'm absolutely sure i've got a target on my back that says hit me! believe this or not, but i seem to have developed an attitude. . .a lady (and i use that term loosely) came within 2 inches of my rear fender at a red light sunday. . .i turned around and looked at her, told her to get off my a** and she did the beauty queen wave and simpered!!!!! ugh! i was this close [.] to getting off my bike and kicking her a** and a lady i was riding with was willing to join me. . .is that illegal???? :Angel_anim:

Agreed.

I almost got clipped last Friday. Guy did a U-turn out of a dirt lot right in front of me. If I had not been watching him, and assuming that he was going to do just what he ended up doing, I would have been posting a FLTRI down thread...
