brand new set of tires ,the 16 penny nail just went through the tread not the tire.

Mine was in the thick edge of the sidewall. I picked it up in the parking lot of the Shiner Brewery.

That one looks like it could have just piereced the tread and not the belting...ought to still be ridable...I might think twice about hitting 90mph on it, but then, I think that way on new tiresw, too.

Wow! That has got to be the most bizarre puncture I've seen...

New rear tire: +/- $180

Not having that 16 penny let the air out: Priceless...

Not having that 16 penny let the air out: Priceless...That was my first thought too!

I had a flat in the company van this past Saturday while working in Midland. I called Fleet Services and it was only a 45 minute wait. If I'd been out somewhere between Midland and Seminole I would have still been waiting. . . :D

In the summer of 2007 when I was working at the stealership, I went through two back tires in 45 days because of nails on the roadway. Thank God I got a discount on the tires because I was working there!

I hate to say yes...but yes~

(ask UnChained)

We were on the Talladega Super Speedway running 100 and pulled to the photo area for the picture and heard "click,,click,,click" and looked and there was a nail in the side wall~

PS, pulled the nail out / rode 4 hours on interstate home / sold the bike 2 years later with the same rear tire~
