The Ga PGR is having a BBQ at the war veterans home in Milledgeville, Ga this weekend. Its a chance to meet & greet with some of the last of the "Great Generation" Korean & other war vets. The very sad part is they also just announced on the news that they will be closing the war vets home and 81 vets all needing medical care will have to find other places to live. As a combat vet myself it makes me so upset that once again the government is turning its back on the vet! They said some of the vets will be moved to another vet home (even further away from family) and others they will try to place back with their families. This all due to cut backs, I know there are many other areas they could cut spending without pushing these vets around like they don't matter. Myself I've sent a letter to the governor of Ga and I've asked many othersto do the same. Please keep the HERO'S in your prayers!!!

I hate to hear when something like this happens. It makes me so angry! God bless all who served. :Angel_anim:

That's really sad. We shouldn't do that to our heros.

oh man, the last guy to move out was really making them mad.....he had an apartment to move to but there wasn't any food in it yet so he just wanted to stay over the weekend until Monday so he could get food in the place. My hats of to the guy, he refused to move out til that Monday because that way he'd be able to have meals at the VA home until Monday. He did move out the next Monday, but he stood his ground.....very sad he had too but I respect him for standing his ground!!!
What type of broken mumbo-jumbo is that?
