We didn't go. 60% chance of thunderstorms all day long down there.

Rode around up here for a while instead, stopped at a highway sign for photo ops, rode some more, stopped by a hole-in-the-wall cafe for some awesome catfish, rode some more, stopped by the Harley shop to sit on all the bikes (again), rode some more, stopped by a leather shop and got a new vest and three new helmets and 2 new pairs of sunglasses, rode back toward the house, stopped for ice cream, and then came home.

It's been a fun day. :bounce013:

How far did y'all ride down MS 7? I'm flying over to Jackson this weekend and will be staying with my Mom for a couple of weeks in Greenwood at the Cancer center. Always think about folks from the forum when I pass by the intersection of 7 and 82 in Greenwood :D

:wtf:I know, I had to ask too. It's related to oil well drilling. When they are drilling a well and their tools get jammed or dropped into the well they call the tool fishers in.

I am amazed at the number and variety of businesses that support the oil drilling industry out here.

Yeah, shoulda gone, but after the torrential thunderstorms we had here Friday afternoon, I wasn't gonna chance it with a 60% chance in the forecast.

I was really looking forward to going and hoping we'd run into some of our old CMA friends down there. Don't know how many are still around. Do you ever see Pat Smith or David Claiborne or David and Lou Bridges? Chuck Branson? Jeff Lepori? Ruby Cook? Jerry Lane? And who was the short guy in the Jackson chapter? Doug something?? I miss all of them.

Really?? That makes me happy to know they're still around. I didn't know how active they all still might be. I just love them all to death. Please tell them I asked about them next time you see them.

We did see Jerry not too long ago on Natchez Trace. Unfortunately, we didn't have time to chat long before we had to go.
