Warm and foggy on the Mississippi coast this AM. Had to negotiate several wrecks on the way to work this morning and just got here as a result. Jim's cold snap is, as usual, a day ahead of us, so I anticipate Thursday as being worsening weather with mandatory, compensatory riding scheduled this afternoon.

Well Good morning All.
yesterdays toy run was great.
Started off froggy but got very sunny and up to 84.
Kids along the route loved mel tossing them small toys instead of the usual candy.
Mel had a great time doing it so to me thats all that counts except giving of the toys at the end to the shrinners for kids in need.

Hope you have a great day and I'll get some pictures up later of the run.

We had so much fun yesterday! I threw 90 little stuffed toys and those rubber wrist band bracelets to kids along the whole route. fs packed them in tight into two buffalo leather bags that sat on each saddlebag so I could just reach in a grab. It's amazing how many people line that route to watch all the bikes. Have a good Monday!

A few exteremely down sized pictures of the toy run gathering.
If you can see the two big buildings in the back of the lot. That is where the bikes stopped. We took this at the start of the parking.
They figured it would take 3.5 hours from the time it starts pulling out on the street(noon) till the last bike leaves the lot.

Mornin all, 30 degrees here, I'm gettin real tired of ridin in the cold. I did get to ride Thursday and Friday to work last week. Friday a.m. was 37 and a little chilly but afternoon was in 60's. Saturday, Luke611 and myself took off and rode 180 miles or so around central Kansas and by the time I got home it was 39 F'n degrees. It took me 3 hours to defrost!

Weekend started wet. Supposed to rain Saturday evening, so wife and I fired up the bikes and rode about 40 miles to Filmore Ca. for breakfast. Sky got real ugly, so we headed back in a light mist. About a mile or so from home it opened up. Soaked both of us. Sunday it was gorgeous. Rode to Ventura Harley, spent a bunch, had lunch and rode home....about 100 miles. Rode to work this morning. About 55*. Only about 2 1/2 miles, all down hill, could almost coast there.

Riding is over here for a few days. The rain moves in until Thursday night or Friday morning. Next weekend looks pretty good with the temps in the high 50's and low 60's.

Christmas trees can be tied on the bike, no sweat but a new, in-box water softener (16x16x60" box). 200 lbs of salt in 40 pound bags. sawzall, hammer drill and 6 10' lengths of 1" pvc pipe with assorted fittings and cement, plus another 50 lbs of hand tools is a bit much. I could probably tie it on, but I don't know if I could drive it.

I threatened that frequently...in fact I told a Principal to GTF out of my office this morning or I would shutdown the computer controlled heating system and go home...I also threatened to whip is AZZ with one arm still in a cast...he left my office...

I was in a pi$$ey mood...was suppose to have all next week off, but we developed a leak in a natural gasline so I had to shutdown the heat in about half the classrooms in one school and divert heat thru hallways to keep the rooms usable...so now my boss says I have to work next week.....merry f*** holidays...

Worked my butt off with heat issues and last day before the kiddies get Christmas break....help my boss spend $33K on new technology...money had to be spent or returned to the state....got to update a bunch of stuff that we despertately needed...our supplier gave us some good deals to grab $33k at the end of the year...HP had a great laptop deal...the one I am typing on is 4.5 years old and the wireless quit...so the supplier allowed me to purchase one for personal/business use through the school account...Merry Christmas to me...(now I will be able to post to the board like GR does while sitting on the throne again...)

Half of the District Office female staff are Hispanic and love to cook....honey glazed ham and a dozen different Mexican dishes....too bad we were at school no cervesa...but I waddled out of the office...

Wore my Christmas hat with HO HO HO on the front...I told them I was the Union Avenue Santa...(Union is hooker row that I use to patrol)...so I pronounced the HOs with a particular accent and emphasis...

Still have to work two days next week...oh well...the weather turned crappy and I still have this broke wing...

Sorry Darryl. We had our tornados yesterday. Clearing up here but cool.

It wasn't much fun and we were moving patients from the SW side of the hospital and evacuating employees into center, protected hallways. Didn't last long and no one hurt and no damages here except some broken branches.

Tornados hitting all around. One person killed up around Groesbeck. Some damage out around Gatesville and Clifton with the worst reserved for Groesbeck.

i made a run up through trophy club, denton, old spanish fort and then on up to oklahoma yesterday. stood on the bridge over the red river and thought about you darlin'. came back home through muenster where we stopped to have a late lunch. what a fine, beautiful, blue sky kind of day it was. tawanda and i put in right at 280 miles yesterday. of course, you realize, mr dnm, this is payback for you being out riding when i was working last week! hugs! :cool:
