Been spending time with my Dad the last couple of days, Doc put him in the hospital cause he was dehydrated a bunch. He's doing okay and will probably be out tomorrow.

Kay got it from me and hers turned into acute bronchitis, just short of pneumonia. She is just getting over her bout as well, so be careful with this crap or it will kick your ass.

I've been kinda cheating the last week or so. Using 1 crutch or for short distances no crutch. I know my leg is good enough but my ankle is soo flippin weak. I can hardly stand without the boot on for support. I exercise it everyday trying to get some strength back but I know that it is going to take a long time to get back into shape.

Gusts up to hurricane status today, I figure we could classify it a stage one cause the wind speeds should be just above tropical storm speed at 45 mph. A steady 35 mph should be the norm. Dust may be a big factor if the ground wasn't so wet from earlier storms.:wtf:

Oh, drove the truck today because of the cross winds. I hate cross winds, feels like the tires come off the ground with a big gust of wind hitting the bike.

I've been kinda cheating the last week or so. Using 1 crutch or for short distances no crutch. I know my leg is good enough but my ankle is soo flippin weak. I can hardly stand without the boot on for support. I exercise it everyday trying to get some strength back but I know that it is going to take a long time to get back into shape.I thought that too, but don't despair, it will return much faster than you think. Just do what the physical therapist tells you to do.

Our guidance counselor picked the day to go over credit eveals in case one of the kiddies didn't know he needed a credit or 2 to graduate and was heading for a crisis in his senior year. Just arrived at work. Left DNM and Tailgunner at the house while wishing I had a new bike to ride to the state line or further with them today. This has been a great weekend spent with close friends. I really hated to come to work today (what else is new), but all good tings must end sooner or later. Hope they have a safe (and dry) ride back to Belton.

Hot and humid are the words for the next couple days here, I just may get the bike out tomorrow though. Didn't do a whole lotta riding over the weekend, had to many chores to do that involved tools to bulky to carry.

Had to get up not only to a Monday, but sadly had to say goodbye to good friends and great company. Jim and Patty are heading back to Texas, and my place just won't be the same anymore. Hope they have better weather going than they did Saturday at which time they got a good soaking just short of my place.

Hope the weather cleared up for them! We were so lucky - on our trip we only put rain suits on one time for 1/2 hr. But it was soooo hot. It did rain one other time - on the way home about 75 north of here but we figure that was just mom nature saying - okay...these two have cooked enough - it was relief at that point and rain suits were not even considered! It's not nice to tell family to hurry up. My sister did that to me one time while I was working on her car. If I remember right, she "had to be somewhere". It was the last time. That was a different situation.
