Good morning y'all.
I beat you this time fastsporty77.
I did about 300 miles by myself just to blow some stuff out of my head and then another 100 with a friend who knows when to talk and when to shut up.
By the way Ron, at one point I filled my bike up and then rode exactly 100 miles to the next stop. Filled up there and had a heck of a time squeezing in two gallons. I don't need all your computers to tell me that is 50 MPG. Another good reason for staying away from the dealer's service area and doing your own.
For those of you who don't know---it is an '07 Ultra.

Mornin ma'am...... And yes I did some very slow riding last night. I checked this time and in the hour and a half in the saddle I rode less than 4 miles :D
Did the 90 deg left and right turn withen 4 feet and killed cones on the first 2 trys. Nailed it everytime after that in both directions. :D
Of course the 18' offset weave.
And we did rear brake lockups too. This was fun and kinda scary the first few times. Used a 1/2" piece of plywood about 1'x2' and rode up to and over it and when the rear tire is on top of it.... lock up the rear brake and attempt to control the skid. First couple of times I only went a few feet. After I got the hang of it I got about 20 feet out of it. The "trick" is knowing when to release the rear brake and that would be before you get too sideways. Ed, the guy running the show said that is a "feel point" for everyone and if you exceed it "you'll be buying some new chrome". I don't have to buy any new chrome.
All in all a good evening and my left wrist is sore from all the clutch work. Just wish I didn't have to travel 50 miles during rush hour to get there. Getting home is no major but getting there takes about an hour and a half.......

Mornin all, 70 degrees here this a.m. and clouds. 88 is the predicted high for today with breezy conditions, no rain in the forecast for a couple more days.:460:
Finally got my back yard mowed last night, anybody need some fresh bermuda grass to feed their horse, I have plenty. Damn stuff was up to my knees, the kid that was supposed to mow it while I was "elsewhere" got sick and couldn't. With the rain and cool weather we had been gettin, I guess the yard is going to get mowed twice a week instead of once.
Also washed the bike yesterday (car wash) to get some of the bugs off and to see if the brushed aluminum looking chrome would brighten up a bit. After a wipe down and chamois, the springer started to sparkle again. I hadn't seen that in well over a week. :045:

You got it, we were there yesterday evening. I tried one of the georgia mud blizzards, damn that thing is rich. Fudge brownies broken up and blended with vanilla ice cream, oooohhhhhh, cold and delicious.:woot_jump:

Good morning y'all.
Taking the truck with me this morning for a new set of tires.
Then the Ultra gets a new back tire on Thursday.
Friday, Saturday and Sunday look pretty good weather-wise so I need to stimulate the rubber industry so I can ride.
Gonna go pick up the kids Friday and then see what the weekend brings.

Mornin all, and yes there is rain in the forecast.:whistling1: The farmers in this area are not complaining about getting enough rain this year, they are complaining about not being able to get the wheat cut. Albeit a lousy crop at that because of late winter freezes and snow.
Everyone have a nice day.

I'm so tired of being wet. . . I need some serious wind time. Okay, if I can't ride, dance I must! Tonight is definitely a dance night! If you're riding put in a mile for me. Hugs! :Angel_anim:

Did I mention rain?? I seam to recall Dinero mentioning something about an ark. Can I get in on that?
Ya'll have a good'n!!
Rode to work yesterday...as usual....and will ride to work again today...
Changed bikes after work and went for a cruise, then stopped by a hospital to see a friend that had a knee replacement...she looked good and is doing well with rehab...should be out of the hospital in a couple days...
Did a bit more riding and came home...hot...mid-90s...but it is a DRY heat and was comfortable for a desert rat like me....
But with low Humidity, Kaliforny is burning...some major fires with lotsa home destroyed near Tahoe...another major fire near the WillowSprings Raceway...on a wonderful twisty road...
Smiles and Miles...have a Safe One whether in the cage or scooter....

Mornin all, wet here yet but plans to quite sometime this afternoon. We're not getting the amounts you Texicans are gettin, but just enough to make it miserable around here.
Hey Dinero, the news last night showed places around Austin with a lot of water. Are you gettin any of that and is the ark finished? How's Patty doing, did she get some relief from the Doc's? Inquiring friends want to know.

She's still in the hospital, but is doing much better. Docs changed some medicines and she felt pretty good last night.
Most of the really bad rain was south and west of here. It was pretty ugly. I got a little in my garage again yesterday, but I still have all my roads.
Anybody heard from Sparky? Haven't heard from him since he headed for home from Belton on the way back from Hot Springs.

Good to hear she is feeling better, maybe the medication change was the ticket. Sparky hasn't checked in that I know of, maybe being away from the bride that long has him "holed" up somewhere.:126: :D

Hell no, it's raining again. I'm really getting tired of this chit, we are already in the top ten of wettest springs of all time here in Kansas. Not sure by how much yet (since it's still raining), but I'm sure if it keeps up a couple more days we may hit the top 8.:curseout: :scuba:
Outside of that I'm doing just great, I'm vertical and on the green side of grass with a cup of coffee in my hand.
