Only 44* outside here but the furnace woke me up...I have it set to daytime temps at 3:45AM so it becomes my alarm clock when it is cold outside..when I hear the furnace then I know it is time to get up..

My furnace is up in the attic in a 90-year-old house. About 5 years ago I had it retro-fitted with an electronic ignition because I would have to go up and re-light the pilot light a couple of times a year. My old ankles don't like walking 2 x 4's any more.

I went up and tried to check for anything obvious and it is either the gas valve or the electronic ignition itself so it looks like Bell HVAC will get a call this morning.

I don't like cold.

Yep, we had 3 fronts move through the Left Coast yesterday...down in the 30s today...weather guesser here says when these storms hit the midwest, they are going to be trouble...

Rode the scooter yesterday int he storms, cuz I let the battery go down in the seldom used truck....gotta take the truck today to pickup lugs of citrus for the family...I always get boxes of fruit from one of the local family farms to give to family...especially those from out of town...nothing like fresh picked oranges and tangerines....

Went for a dual sport ride this morning...spitting rain, but no snow...went up to about 4500 ft...ice in the mud puddles, but no white stuff...great ride on a dual track (sometrimes) Forest Service road...15 miles across a mountain from one road to another...great riding...

FS had thge gate open from Breckinridge where I started but had the gate closed and locked on the other end...fortunately that little TW200 could squeeze between two rocks next to the gate to get out...

Checked the mileage on the HD...did 14,349 miles this year on it...a couple thousand on my Victory and 600 on the Yamaha dualsport....so I got to ride most of the days this year....I have done 20K in a year, but that was when wife was riding with me....easier to get away if she goes also...

Everyone have a great day and a great start for 2010.Lots of changes moving out here in the middle of Gods country. I don't ride in town because there is no place to go. When I do ride it's usually a minimum of a thousand miles. Soon I'll be moving to a slightly bigger town that is closer to the places I love to ride and the people I love to ride with. Combine that with my new work schedule of a four day weekend every other weekend and I hope to get in a few more miles this year. :Angel_anim:

I'm totally not used to this long-term winter $#!T. Supposed to be teens and low 20's thru tomorrow and into 60's Friday. And for this the government want s a law that will make it too expensive to run your heater?

I don't hate winter...I hate the fog it brings here...it was 45*F at 3:30AM when I woke....long after "sun up" (where???) it is 42*F...but some front is suppose to clear out the Fog Monster tomorrow and get up to 70*F....

S'pose to got dirt bike riding in an hour or so....might be a bit chilly for the Grandkid........
