Mornin all, finally got the bike out last night for a short ride. Damn did it feel great, its been a month and a half since it left the garage.:653: Most of the salt and sand is gone from most of the roads around here, there is a little left and I'm hoping it washes off rather easily.

Supposed to cool down a little today but be back to the 60's for highs until saturday, weekend outlook is rain both days.:shithappens:

Got a small ride in myself yesterday. Just up to my local bike shop to give them a helping hand. With bike week here that shop gets over loaded.
I'll be helping out when not inspecting.
So life is busy but good around here.

We wen't looking for snow yesterday but we got it. It was 47 f here yesterday, about 4 PM the temp droped to 25 f and the rain and snow hit. The streets are like a skateing rink. My 1/2 hr drive to work will turn out to be a 1.5 hr drive to work this morning.

It has been a very nice week on the Left Coast....got in lotsa riding.....BUT Weather Guesser says put the bikes away for two days....ANOTHER BUT....s'pose to be nice this weekend.....

Just got home from work...very pleasant riding in armor mesh jacket with windbreaker under it...I love getting paid to ride between sites and parts runs on the bike....AND I CAN'T HEAR THE DAMN CELL PHONE WHILE ON THE BIKE...at least I get a few minutes without the leash....

Mornin folks, today is a special day for me. This marks the first warm enough day this year that I could "GET THE BIKE OUT AND RIDE TO WORK":1074: :1074:

The temps are in the upper 30's and will get to around 60 today. Don't get me wrong, myself and the GF got in around 50 miles last night before the sun went down. It was her first ride ever on a Harley and the anticipation was really gettin to her. She really enjoyed the ride and it won't take much to get her back on for some trips this spring.:123:

Nice weather here for the past 3 days but I only rode once. I think I am off
of it until my back gets better. I slipped Sunday night and bruised my lower
back. Half inch to the left and it might have been a broken tail bone.

.... It wasn't too bad except for some caliche on the road in a construction zone. That crap is just like ice when it is wet.

I know about that stuff. I was riding a desert dirt road just north of Albuquerque when a thunderstorm hit. I came up over a little rise and the road turned to teflon. I managed to keep it up for a hundred yards or so totally out of control til I slid into a ditch, still upright. I had to push it down the ditch a couple hundred feet till I could get back on the road. The stuff caked in the fenders and chain, brakes, just everywhere. I ended up chiseling some of it off with a hammer and screw driver.

68 and sunny at 8:30 AM. We're looking at low 80's this afternoon. If I can get Sam motivated to get some errands done, we'll likely put on some miles this afternoon.

I knew it was to good too be true, temp this morning was 33 and I had snow on my truck.:mad:

Yesterday it was 72 when I got home from work so I parked the springer and got the electra glide out to put on a few miles and check the charging system with a new battery. Everything is working well:awesome: with no glitches, the volt meter was as steady as a rock at just above 13 volts. The old battery must have had a dead cell or something, the voltmeter kept jumping from 12 volts to charging at around 13.5 volts.

good morning biker board folks! we had a wet ride yesterday - went to the antique bike show in eustis and as soon as we rounded the corner to the fairgrounds it started raining and just got worse from there. just got to see a little - most people had thier stuff covered up or else packed up and left. that bike show is a highlight of bike week usually for us. come to think of it - i have a lot of rainy memories of bike week..well now theres another!

70s and 80s all week....early spring in Kaliforny...took a 30 minute health ride yesterday instead of lunch......then took the LONG way home after work....

Talked to BLK TC (Pete and Rene from Springfield, MO...those that made the ES gathering might remember the couple on the Victory).they are coming out to Kaliforny at the end of the month...gonna get to see and ride with them....Spring has Sprung...

Being the ol farts...we stayed home and took care of the rugrat so our kids could drink some green beer...rugrats are more fun than hangovers....

Went to breakfast at a local dealership and had a local ride yesterday...came home and worked on the scooters...going to ride up the mountain today and have lunch with a couple guys...weather has been nothing short of spectacular....

Guadalupe River State Park with family and the 5th wheel. Doesn't carry a scoot so no ridin... Over Easter weekend we're going to McKinny Falls State Park in South Austin. Guadalupe River State Park with family and the 5th wheel. Doesn't carry a scoot so no ridin... Over Easter weekend we're going to McKinny Falls State Park in South Austin. Got off work and took my niece for her first MC ride...she is out here in the land of 76*F visiting from OHIO....her dad use to race MCs, but stopped before she was born...

So Uncle got to give her the first MC ride....Dad and her are going south to Magic Mountain in the morning and she wants Uncle to ride her down on the MC...so I think we hooked another one....

WooHoo, it's supposed to get into the 80's here today also. Kansas winds will make their presence known, but I'm ridin anyway.

Saturday, I rode to Alef's (pronounced alfs)Grand Opening and all had a good time. Must have been around 3 or 4 thousand people in and outa that place, it was busy. Purchased some running lamps for the springer and also some rain gear that was on sale. Lamps look great and I hope I don't have to use the rain gear. Spent enough on the parts and gear, I got a H-D picnic case complete with two place settings and enough room for adult beverages and food.:D

Mornin all, weather here is colder than a polarbear's butt. Did get to put the springer on the dyno yesterday to see what the stock configuration looks like.

With stage one pipes and breather, I have 63 hp with 74 foot #s of torque.
EFI is runnin the motor a little lean, so in order to keep the motor around for awhile, I'll need to look into a fuel management system.
