I had septoplasty done on Friday to correct a severely deviated septum and can't breath through my nose right now. It's supposed to get better. At least that's what the surgeon told me.

Went by the Dealer and they had a cruise control rolloff sw/idle cable in stock, so I had them pull one and put me down to have it changed on Tuesday....

$33 for the cable, have to pull fairing outer to change it, then adjust per manual...I have a $50 deductible on my extended warranty...some Dealer Mech can skin his knuckles instead of mine for the $17 difference..

Left this morning to deliver a car to my B.I.L. and just got back a little while ago. Saw alot of bikes on the road. Spent a few miles riding the Natchez Trace and saw some beautiful scenery!!!! The leaves are finally starting to change around here. Stopped by the HD dealer in Tuscumbia, AL....... and looked at some nice bikes there but only left with a t-shirt.

Mornin all, I'm all stocked up Jim and I'll probably never see him on a weekend. Oh well, I'm 2 miles off interstate and there are a lot of truck drivers using that road that don't stop either. :crackingup:

The weather guessers say it's 29 degrees here this morning, there was a little crust of ice around the puddles this morning. Maybe that will get rid of a few of the pesky bugs around here.

Good morning, everyone. Woke up to 40mph winds and rapidly falling temperatures this AM. Supposed to be in the 30's tonight. We'll start seeing a lot less of those pesky bugs around here, too. Neighbor just shot a huge Copperhead in the woods behind us this weekend. I guess the snakes are looking for a place to winter down. This one looks like he's about to become a belt and hatband.

Sorry PB...but there are advantages to putting up with all the AdamHenrys on the Left Coast........

Still shirt sleeve riding weather....even at oh-dark thirty ride to work....

Changed my aux lights over to Ambers and seems that traffic is picking them up better...any help I will take with the dumb-#### out here on the left coast...

Scooter goes to the shop to have the idle cable/cruise rolloff replaced...$33 for the cable and the fairing has to come off...my deductible is $50...so the dealer mech can skin his knuckles instead on mine....

Those that can still ride...be careful and enjoy the crisp autumn air........the door to my office is open and the outside air is sooooo nice..........

Not working today, so I hadn't checked NWS yet...they had been talking about a weather front coming through this weekend....

Guess the front is in a hurry...this morning weather guessers are saying 87*F with 40MPH winds (and we haven't had measurable rain in months.....)...so I bet I am choking in dust this afternoon....then weather fronts coming through the rest of the week and all weekend....(at least I don't have to do OUTSIDE honey-dos this weekend...)

No scooter today...yep, we had 40-50 mph winds and blowing dust and leaves yesterday and last night...started light rain a couple hours ago....checked CHP online log...they are crashing out there....so I want the pickup around me this morning...

Looks like winter is about over down here. It's been warming slowly every morning. in the 40's early, but as the sun comes up, it goes into the 70's in a hurry. Still great weather to ride if you happen to have a bike to do it on. Time for another round of calls to get the shyster motivated again.

Yeppers, busy morning...I sat down looked over some forums and just about went to sleep...I had to check to see if my cellphone was still on..got spooky quiet...

Just got a Diet Coke for caffeine...30 minutes to quitting time...I think I will turn off my cellphone....

Dang weather guessers.....revised the forecast to no rain today...radar looked good...started to work and got a couple miles....nice pocket of showers....but it is ok at work site so I load the truck drive across the street to another school site and it is raining over there....back to the office....heck with it....you would think I was in Kansas........

Now raining steady here at my office...reason to hibernate and get paid.......

Already voted by absentee ballot a couple weeks ago..at least I will canx one liberal SF vote......

I've done that. He is usually in court or otherwise not available or with another client or something. Bottom line is he avoids me and I have no idea why. He will be telling me that when I get him face-to-face, or he will be discovering how nasty a Cajun can get when riled.

Maybe you ought to cook smething for him. He will surely want to be on your good side then.

Good morning, everyone. Still mad as hell having been forced to set up a meeting as I did with the shyster. This BS should have been resolved a year ago. For one solid year, this clown has been sitting on it. My problem is that I have a contract with him to represent me. It's a contingency fee contract which means he only collects if he wins, and he stands to win a huge sum of money which puzzels me as to why the hasn't been doing anything with the case. I can just see firing him and having him send me a bill for services rendered to date. Of course, I can tell him to take me to court. If he doesn't have time to file my case, surely he doesn't have time to sue me either!

Mornin all, 28 and frosty here in the flatlands. Daryll, save me some of that buzzard as well.

I'm volunteering at the community center again this year. We served over 300 people last year and if the weather is nice there could be a crowd around 400. I doled out 5 roasters full of ham last year before I got a break to go eat.

Not sure if I'll get to see too much football, we are riding in two toy runs that weekend. Sure hope the snow holds off until after we get done. Last year we had ice on the bridges, wow was it a slick one.

Mornin all, 38 degrees here in the flatlands to start the day. 66 is predicted for a high.

Went to the eye doctor yesterday to get a new prescription for contacts. While I was there, I talked him into letting me try some multi-focal ones. It may take some getting used to and some minor adjustments along the way, but they seem to work okay. I'm keeping my fingers crossed cause I really want to get rid of using readers.:olderrr:

Weather guesser said FOG this morning...but the Weather Guesser is on the OTHER side of town...just a bit of haze here....so the scooter brought me to work...the rest of the week is s'pose to be moderate rain and then fog...so the scooter will probably get parked over the holidays....

Thanksgiving weekend looks like a chance of rain and snow. Kay and I are riding in a toy run on Saturday, hope it dries up by then.

Good moroning, everyone. Still cleaning up yesterday's mess. Been washing pots and pans and dishes and such since yesterday afternoon and have started to see an end to the pile finally. Now I have to fight the temptation to dig into the pies that survived the onslaught yesterday. Gained a few pounds this week, so looks like time to go back to the diet and exercise program.....diet....all them thar leftovers in the refrig calling me already. Dammit!

Yep..late but I just got in from a 260 mile ride...nice in the valley...clouds on the coast range (read fog for 5 miles) and mid 70s on the coast with lotsa sunshine....stopped on the way home on a side road and let my riding partner test out his new Glock 36...I fired about 50 rounds through my carry Glock also...

Mornin all, icy and cold here in Kansas this a.m. We had two small snow squalls come through Friday and yesterday. Left some black ice on the roadways this mornin, so it made driving a little treacherous with all the crazies out there.

Hope everyone had a good Thanksgiving, I know I didn't. The flu bug hit me Thursday night, it was not a pretty sight. Kay got it from me on Sunday, so this weekend wasn't the best.

Visited my Dad in the hospital as much as possible, the doctors think he'll be there at least for another week and a half. They are keeping him to make sure the infection stays down on his legs from the burns.
