I gotta do some housecleaning in my office...it is stacked with both good and bad equipment...getting to the point where I don't remember which is which...my boss is a 100 miles away at a budget conference...good day to turn off my leash and get some work done...

But as usual rode to work in some wonderful weather...this weekend gotta do some sprinkler repair...as opposed to you northern folks our grass stays green all year....then get the bike cleaned and checked over for the run to LostWages....got a passing light out...may see if AutoZone or Kragens has some amber tractor lights in stock...might try those for visual effect.....

Yeppers and it sucks.......woke up with sinus headache...went to work at 5AM...feeling crappy...allergies...guys started mowing and blowing around my office about 5:30...now my nose won't stopping running and I have a 800 pound gorilla on my chest...came home and took a benedyrl...hour later nose and chest is worse...take another benedryl...hour later I am horizontal for 3 hours...nothing like doubling up on the meds....but at least my eyes can focus now...

Anyone have a Chinese Weeping Elm Tree...???? That thing puts on millions of seed pods this time of the year and dusts the whole area with "red something" that my head doesn't like..plus we haven't had enough rain to settle the dust, spores, etc since April...very dry year...

Finally got ComCast to come out and fix their screwups...after I sent a couple of "colorful" emails to their company president!

Now that ugly stupid yellow temporary cable is gone from in front of my house...only took a year and a half...AND I finally have a decent signal!!

Actually I haven't heard anything good about sat. internet. Just like sat. tv you lose signal in storms and bad weather.

I use Dish as well, each company has their draw backs. I had Directv for awhile as well and never liked their programming packages. Dish has what I need.

I'm going with WildBlue for internet, maybe if they get me hooked up without giving me the run around as to when. Yes I know there's a black out period during storms but that is short lived as soon as the storm passes. I use a T-1 at work, so no worries there and I'm not on the internet that much at home. I get enough computer time all day at work, so I'm not that thrilled about getting on at home every night.


Hopefully they'll get something installed this week.

Missed the posts on Sat TV. I have Direct TV and Billy got his satellite thru Dish. Both have prety much the same programming packages with Dish having greater emphasis on College sports and Direct leans more to pros. I refuse to get their computer package. DSL thru the phone company works best down here.

Headed to Abilene, Ks. tomorrow to watch Kay put a wreath on Ike's Tomb. It's an annual thing for the American Legion here, and the Woman's Auxilliary President has the honor of decorating his grave. Dignitaries will be present, so I won't get to go in overalls and a leather jacket.:kevlar:

I'm back again. Got knocked off of here for a couple of days again. It's the strangest thing, but I think it must be something Kyle is doing with his gaming that causes the router or modem to get screwed up. I'll be glad when he goes in the Air Force next month. Had a good time Saturday at the wreath ceremony for Eisenhower's statue. The American Legion lays wreath's and roses around the statue in honor of his birthday which comes up here on the 18th I think.

We were looking for that one piece of furniture for a small wall that needed something. We bought a bread box made of pine and maple. It's about 4' high, 3' wide and 12" deep. We'll use it for keys in the top of it and cook books in the bottom.

Mornin all, raining still with amounts up to 1 1/2" by tonight. Kansas is experiencing it's wettest year in history and we only need 1.68" to break the record. It will give us 51" of rain for the year, that would break the old record back in 1951 (the year I was born). Too late for good morning. Been busy working on wiring Butch's garage for him....his wife kicked him out if he wants to smoke, so he is making a man-cave in the garage. Had the RugRat last night and most of today...plus I was told I was doing the service on the wife's F150...a PITA to change the filter on that rig...then had to install the Sirius Radio in the youngest daughter's pickup...so my day was taken up with other thing than riding...

Call a riding partner to see if he wants to ride to La-La-Land in the morning to see the SideCar Rally in Griffith Park..waiting for a call back, he had to wait for his other half to come home and clear it with her...

I had septoplasty done on Friday to correct a severely deviated septum and can't breath through my nose right now. It's supposed to get better. At least that's what the surgeon told me.

PB...just got stuffed in the tube yesterday...friday hopefully the doc will have the results and tell me if the L5/S1 disc is blown worse than in 2002 when it happened...something is up...lots more pain and numbness...getting old sucks....but Jim is my idol...I figure if I can outlive him we will be halfway to the next century....(you do know that it is hard to kill ugly....)

The weather is wonderful out here...high 80s-low 90s until at least Sunday...makes the joints feel a whole lot better....

Replaced the aux spots with amber fog bulbs yesterday....hoping they would make me just a tad more visible to the idiot drivers out here...guess not, had two idiots blow through a freeway offramp stop sign and turn in front of me....

That was my daylight experience with the ambers...I adjusted the lights last night so this morning ride to work will be the test on riding in the dark with them...

TGIF....Finally. gotta fry one of my critters today for excessive mouth yesterday. Would have done it yesterday, but he is avoiding me since he ran off at the lips at class change.
Also lawyer calling time. Made the first obligatory no return from him call yesterday. Will make #2 this AM. Usually takes 3 or 4. It has been well over a month since our last conversation, and I figure it's time to shake his ass up again. I'd sure like to have some papers filed before Christmas.
