Been really nice on the left coast after all the wind and rain last week and oer the weekend...

Took the long way home today, but there was something besides the wonderful 70* temps...AZZWipe trucker killed at least one in a SUV that was stopped for another truck on fire on the freeway...traffic stopped for more than a mile and he is still driving foot down and drives OVER a SUV..totally destroyed and burned....they are still not sure if there was only one person in the SUV...prayer for no children...how the heck do you not see over a mile of brake lights....?????????

I drive that stretch of freeway every day..on the bike I suck up lotsa seat often...I hate riding that roadway, but it is the most direct/best route....saw a gal run the stop sign at that offramp earlier in the day violating my right of way on the bike...then slam on the brakes and hang an illegal u-turn as I am pulling away from the stop sign...road rage ought to be legal in Kaliforny....

Sorry for the rant...the weather was wonderful, but the riding was more scary than usual....slow down, hang up the damn phone and learn to drive....

She was very sick and was suffering she'd had addisons disease for 3 years, and now we find she has pancreas problems - likely a tumor, diabetes and kidney failure. Poor thing. So we said goodbye and we miss her terribly. Just when we need to get out and ride we get a storm and a cold front. This weekend is bike week in Daytona so maybe we can get out and clear our heads then. Anyway - things like this make us tough I guess.

Losing a pet is really tough, my sympathies to you and fs. I have a Lab who is 11 and I dread the day when he has to be put down. Good friends are hard to lose but you hate to see them go through so much pain just for your enjoyment of their company.

I almost forgot to tell you. . .they let me play in the 5E yesterday! :241: My clocks have been acting up for six months now and the dip that is supposed to be fixing them doesn't know what the hey he's doing. He's been swapping out card packs and hasn't even kept a log of what he did and when. . . anyway. . . yesterday, with my trainer and boss on the phone, I unseated one of the clock packs. . .my boss kept saying, Tonya, do you know what you're doing? And I said, exactly what Al tells me to do! :D This morning I'll reseat the card and see if that side comes back up. If that doesn't work I might just get to run some diagnostics. . . .whoo-hooo! I got in about a hunnert after visiting with my boy Josh over Cuban coffee and cigars. He passed the physical fitness test for the Broward Fire academy this morning. He was worried that he might be out of shape after not working out for a while. The test comprised of dragging charged lines up stairs, carrying a dummy back down and a few other things that firemen might have to do. Qualifying time was 8 minutes and he made it in 4 minutes and 21 seconds.

It's clear between there and here. The sun is now shining upon Seminole and it's up to 40 degrees. The last 35 miles is going to be a biatch. There are no wind breaks and no place to stop. I reminded him of that fact and he said he'd warm up with coffee before leaving Hobbs. I feel like an old mother hen worrying so. He's been riding a lot longer than I have. . .all I know to do in this case is bake cookies til he gets in. :Angel_anim:

How'd that chicken dinner come out?Fried chicken, mashed potatoes and corn (phreak doesn't do green veggies :D) and you were right . .the rolls were horrible. They need a double rise to be decent. Phreak ate like he liked it. Sausage and homemade blueberry pancakes for breakfast. I'm thinking that will hold him for the better part of the day!

Mornin all, dry here with a low of 36 last night. Course, todays temps are going to stay in the thirties. Cold front moving through, winds have just changed to the north so I don't look for the day to get much better. No snow though.:241:

It's always riding weather down here. Depends on how wet you want to get, how far you ride. We had tornadoes out in the 'glades yesterday afternoon as I was heading home from work. It sure was a bit strange riding right at a wall cloud. I just hit a few sprinkles and a few 25 mph + gusts and everything petered out before it got to populated areas.
About the same weather pattern today. 40% chance of getting wet and a high around 80.

Mornin all, I'm tired of reporting the low temps around here so I'll say it is headed for a high temp of 43 today. Tomorrow will be around 35 with snow flurries. Saturday and Sunday prove to be warmer with temps in the upper forties to low fifties. Wow, what a weather report.:HaHaHa:

Two good things did happen yesterday evening though, the shovelhead fired up and ran but is going to need a carb kit. The second thing was, I finished my taxes and I get a refund.:241::241:

Mornin folks! Yesterday was the last day of the Renaissance Festival so I've got no excuse to ride with a sword strapped to my back for another 11 months.
Yup, that's a sword hilt just above my right shoulder. In the second picture, that's my grandson Jerraimee with Sam and I.

Why thank you T, we love it! Our 15 year old granddaughter is into it too, but yesterday was Lil Jer's day. The chain mail helmet on my head is made from about 2,500 individual rings on 16 gauge steel wire and weighs a bit over 4 lbs. It took me about 20 hours.
