Great to hear, Greg! Maybe we'll pass each other on 114.
Good morning everyone. It's just Tuesday and it already looks like a rough week. We've been spending a lot of time helping my parents and that is going to get to be more and more often. I'm fortunate to be able to help them. FS has been over there 3 full days and another 1/2 in the past week. They would be in rough shape without him!

Mornin all, I know it's late but I just got outa bed. Some nasty crap hit me yesterday afternoon and left me with a fever, coughing, and my nose would not stop running. Must have been a cold bug or something. I feel a little better today but stayed home from work not to give it to anyone else. At least I shook the fever part.
Everyone have a good day, I'm headed out for some meds to keep this nose in check.:D

Yep the crap is definitely going around...I spent a friday, the weekend and last monday in bed before I felt I could go back to work without giving it back to WHOMEVER gave it to me....about a week and the symptoms go away....I did the nyquil to sleep for a week....

I know that, even some hick from Kansas knows that they get bigger in Texas. I figure your little house is about the size of a Super WalMart with at least three holes.:HaHaHa:
Mornin all, it's 43 degrees here in Dorothy's outhouse this mornin.
I rode to my Dad's house last night and then over to see the GF, it stayed in the forties the whole time. By the time I got home (90 miles later) my head was hurting so bad I thought somebody had whacked me with an axe. I've got to do something about keeping my head warm I guess, anyone have an electric balaclava to sell.:wtf:
I'm going to go looking for a neoprene facemask with eye holes only, maybe that will stop the breeze from gettin to my noggin.:HaHaHa:

An ALL WARS' Memorial for the County I live in was unveiled and dedicated over the weekend..I was not interested in the hoopla...so I waited until lunch today and rode over to take a look and pay my respects...Etched glass panels with names and city of all Veterans that died during wartime...by conflict and then alphabetical...also an electronic guide that finds the name for you...not all the panels are set in place but all are on display....much more moving lunch than a double cheeseburger at MickeyDs...
I didn't have a camera as I was on my lunch hour...I will try to take a camera back in a few weeks when it is all set on their podiums...

I started when they were replacing the Step by Step with a crossbar in Beverly Hills. Went back to replace the crossbar with a 1a. The last time I was in switching, the 1a was getting augmented with a DMS. From very old mechanical to digital. From 3 floors of switches to a machine that would fit in the bathroom.....times do change!
I retired as the Director of Interconnection Services with Pac Bell, or SBC. In my illustrious service I did a stint with AT&T Long Lines, a two year assignment with Bell Labs then back to Pacific. Rotated mostly between Switching and Special Services.

In Florida you have to look at the sky to decide - it's raining over there so.....
This is true, but I took Jim's advice and flipped a coin. He's older and perhaps wiser, so south it was. When I got out on the road, it was cloudy and threatening both north and south. I was committed to south so off I go. When I hit South Miami, it was like the Keys were calling my name and the skies turned crystal clear.
In central FL, you get 4 directions to choose from so you can usually escape a storm, but here in North Broward I only have 5 miles east to the beach, and 3 west before I'm up to my ass in alligators.
Good morning all! 73 here now, headed for 80 with a 20% chance of getting wet. Y'all have a great day!

Except pretty soon you'll be eating supper at 3:30 and in bed by 7.

Mornin all, 51 foggy degrees here in Oz. High around 80 and breezy. The weekend was made for riding, two tanks of gas and around 400 miles just in central Kansas. Yesterday was a toy run for the Marines and Toy's for Tots, good turn out (over 1000 bikes), with a chili feed after. Temps were in the upper seventies, so not much chili got eaten.lol
Everyone have nice Monday.

You want me to quit reminding you to flip your coin?
Fog here until about 9:00 AM they say. Further south it was pea soup for the drive into work. Glad I don't have to deal with that anymore.

What difference? You'll forget about it by next weekend and be proud of your bright idea again next Sunday.

My kinda room and as soon as this nasty weather leaves, I'm there. Probably around April I figure, would that be too late? :241:
Mornin everyone, the cold front is almost here. Rain, freezing rain, and snow should be the mix as soon as it gets here. Until then, it's warm and windy here in Dorothy's world. Turkey day looks like it's going to be nasty for anything out doors except polar bears. :)

Good morning...been busier than 1 armed paper-hanger lately....some vacation. Taking it easy today while I contemplate rearranging my radio room and await the takers of the bike carcass to arrive. It has been perfect riding weather. I had hoped to sneak out of here and explore certain parts of Texas, but others have connived to trash that idea so far...but the week is young. I may suddenly develop one of those FI attitudes and haul it out of here before the sun sets.

They are expecting a light mist with a possibility of snow, but it will melt before it gets to the ground. Might see a little in the air today and if the old wives tale holds up that would mean 21 days of snow this winter, who knows?
