what it felt like to have the wind in your face! I felt like a kid in a candy store. My first ride since August of last year. I was nervous and excited all at the same time. The pictures are Gary and myself waiting in the shade for the group we are going to ride with.

So where did ya go? Sandia peak is always a great ride, or The Turquoise Trail to Santa Fe.

Left out of Albuquerque to the East side of the mountains, headed south on South 14 (TWISTIES, WOOHOO), then went to a small town called Willard and had lunch. Left there and headed towards Mountainair, then back up South 14 (TWISTIES AGAIN, WOOHOO), and then home. We rode about 120 to 130 miles. That was good enough for a first ride it was to so hot, I felt like my butt was melting to my seat. But I had a blast!!

Yeah there are some great roads east of town. I don't recall Willard, but I've probably been there. Hmm just checked the map. I thought 14 only went north from I 40.... Willard is south of Moriarty on 41 Yup been there. I went down 337 from Tijeras. Yup plenty of twisties and switchbacks, definitely a fun road.

337 from Tijeras is correct. Everyone we ride with calls it South 14. I don't know why, maybe easier for them to remember. At the end of 337 it makes a T, you can go to Mountainair or Willard. We went Willard and then Mountainair.
