I spoke with MRimmer about an hour ago and he stated he would setup a special PayPal button for donations to help offset medical, fuel, and associated costs being incurred.

If you would rather send a check or money order and not use the Paypal button PM me and I will send you my address and other info.

Let's hope it goes a long way towards covering their expenses. What other sites have a collection going?

Patty called me around 5:30 yesterday evening. She sounded great and she says she's feeling great too! The doctors have removed the drain tube and released her. Jim and Patty should be headed home today. They plan on breaking up the 14 hour drive into two days. . . they'll be home for the 4th! :Angel_anim:

Hey Everyone! Jim and Patty were packing up to leave when I left for work this morning. Jim was headed off to U-Haul to rent a car dolly, then they were heading West. They are aiming for Texarkana tonight unless Patty gets too tired before then.

We were all three about to cry, saying our good-byes this morning. They are some fine folks and Philip and I will miss them. They've become like family except that they were MUCH, MUCH easier to have around than our real families!! ;-)

I sure am glad we had the opportunity to lend a hand, although I don't really feel we did much of anything special - just let them use a space that we don't really need on a daily basis anyway. It all worked out good and I know they will be very, very glad to get home.

Latest update: Just got off the phone with Jim and Patty. As I was talking to them, they wre crossing the Mississippi River at Memphis on the I-40 bridge. The game plan is to make it to Texarkana today and home tomorrow. Patty is a bit tired but in great spirits. Tiredness comes from doing the packing of the truck while Jim was busy hooking up the car tow rig. Jim says he will be letting out a really loud yell when they cross the Texas line. I fully expect to hear it all the way down here!

I have seen angels and they wear leather.

I have no words to even begin to express mine and Patty's feelings and our deep regard for how all these "ax murderers" have supported us this last month.

Through some of the toughest times I have ever gone, I was never alone. While the money donated is an added gift, the true gift was the realization that so many people cared and prayed and I hope that we can be the "rock" for someone else if we are ever needed.

I can't begin to give individual thanks to everyone, but there will always be a special place in my heart for Saint Kaye and Sir Philip.

When someone asks me, "You're a biker, aren't you?", I can proudly smile and say yes and I know what a "real" biker is.

I wish no one ever had to go through what I went through this last month, but if anyone does, I hope they have the support that I have had.
