Sugar & I went to Palm springs, CA. last weekend with a group or riders from work. Had a blast, ate too much, drank too much (while walking, not riding) and just generally had a fun weekend!

Here's a pic that another rider took of us on the road...

I'm lucky in that Sugar likes to ride as much, if not more, than I do.

On her birthday a few years ago, I told her she could do anything she wanted; shopping, fancy dinner, show at a hotel, concert, etc. Didn't take her 2 seconds to say, "Let's go for a motorcycle ride!"...

Thanks for the compliments on the bike! I wanted a 100th R/G when they came out, but couldn't find one that wasn't $5K over sticker. I ran across this one three years ago in Lake Havasu, AZ. Only had 3500 miles, included the tour pac, and had a very, very motivated seller...

Long live the 'long nose' HD!!!:HaHaHa:

Here's another shot from the weekend...

Hey FLTRI....Check somethign out~
Sitting on the RoadGlide, the screw closest to the throttle that holds the windshield on, check the washer to make sure it is not about to get crossway in the slot of the windshield. I put a taller windshield on my RoadGlide last week and I had trouble with that screw and while i was at the Dealership i looked at an new Rodglide on the showroom floor and it was the same way (like the washer is too small)..So i went to the Hardware store ,because H-D said that was it was not a problem and they did'nt have any bigger black washers to fit, and for 50 cents i now have matching bigger black washers... I was reading http://www.americanrider.com/output.cfm?id=1130221 And by just bumping the corner of the winshield while getting off the bike made the windshield pop off. (end of story):)

Thanks, Noodles! Great article!!!

I actually replaced my stock windshield with one from Clearview. I'm 6'2" and the stock windscreen left me with some annoying helmet buffeting at freeway speeds. I tried an HD 3" over windshield, and while that helped with airflow, it put the top of the windshield right at my visual horizon; very annoying...

Talked to a guy at Clearview (John, I think) and felt like I was at a job interview. Height? Weight? How often do I ride 2-up? How far ahead of me is the ground looking over my current windshield? Seat type? Even my inseam...

It took about 4 weeks for them to build me a new custom windshield, but it was worth it. It's lightly smoked gray, has their "Euro Lip" at the top, and is much thicker and stiffer that the HD shield. It was also pre-curved for a perfect fit. The stock windshield rattle is gone, it doesn't scratch as easily, doesn't pop out of the fairing, and the airflow just clears the top of my helmet, even at 100+ speeds...

Once it arrives, you get to try it out. If it's not working for you, just ship it back and they'll send you another one. No Charge...

It was a little pricey, but I would highly recommend them. It's undoubtedly one of the best upgrades I've done to the bike...
