My radio box on my motor caught on fire today due to a faulty radio connection on the battery so that started the drama for me this afternoon. I had to take the plate off of the radio box while it was shooting flames to get the fire out. The stuff we found was supposed to be top quality work from the radio shop and we paid good money to get everything installed. It's a good thing that it happened in the garage instead of on the roadway working, on a high-speed escort running like a bat out of hell or in the garage at home while we were sleeping. It was going to happen eventually due to the fruits of their labors but it could have been a whole lot worse......

Must have been some of that hot blues you folks listen to, or maybe some heavy metal. :kiss: The radio couldn't take it and went up in flames.:HaHaHa:

How bad was the fairing and windshield after you put the flames out? Glad to hear it was at the garage though and you weren't riding at the time. Time to look into some fire retardent covers for all the extras that they put on your motors.

The electrical fire was in the radio box/tour pak. The dumb asses fused the radio where it plugs into the fuse block at the tail end of the circuit instead of using a fuse link to the battery. I hope there isn't any damage to anything else in the radio box except for the radio and radio wiring......
