Well, there were some extenuating circumstances involved, but I can't elaborate on them.

Bottom line is while motorcycling is fun, it's a dangerous activity. Ride 40 hours a week, and your odds of having an off course incident increase exponentially...

Agreed. And as fun as that job sounds, it must be stressful to deal with the dangers every day.

And it is fun.

I look forward to going to work every day, and that is a huge change from my previous assignment.

I deliberately rode the same section of road that he went down on tonight; I wanted to see what he saw. It's a bad stretch of asphalt, and dark as a well diggers behind.

Stressful? Well, maybe. But before I did this for a living, I sold air conditioners in Las Vegas. Now that, was stressful...

Good thing he's okay though. Night riding is never easy. The lights on a bike never seem quite adequate enough.

I took a ride into Andrews yesterday, just cos I haven't been there yet. . .coming home on a very dark, very black asphalt surface. . . no street lights. . .the sun going down. . . and I forgot to bring my night glasses. . .I was very leery of alligators. . .there would be no possible way to see them until I was right up on them. . .

good lesson with a happy ending. . .
